Slot reviews at Casino Wizard

All the slot reviews at Casino Wizard include reviews of the gameplay, graphics and style of play along with more in depth analysis of bonus rounds, free spins rounds, wilds and scatters.

Online slot games usually run in a similar format with a number of reels and a number of paylines. The reels are filled with symbols which spin down the screen when you click the ‘play’ button.

Online slots normally have 5 reels but simpler slots can have 3 and more complex slots might not use reels at all. For example, Chain Reactors slot uses tumbling reels.

Other games included in our slot reviews use symbols which disintegrate or blow up to reveal more symbols beneath. These tumbling reels and disintegrating symbols are a great way of introducing more variety and give you chance to win two payouts from one spin!

Slot paylines and 243 ways to win

The paylines show the number of ways you can win on a slot game. You can choose to bet on 1 or more paylines, depending on how much you want to bet each spin. Some slots require you to play all the paylines.

There are often 20 paylines on a traditional slot but many slots have fewer paylines and some have 50 paylines or more.

There is a feature called ‘243 ways to win’ which operates on some slot games to give more winning chances without using traditional paylines at all. You can see the ‘243 ways to win’ feature in action on Burning Desire slot.

Wilds and scatters

The special features in slot games include free spins, which are often triggered when you hit 3 or more scatter symbols. The scatters usually pay with a multiplier so these are great symbols to look out for to boost your winnings.

Wild symbols substitute for other symbols in a slot game, allowing you to hit more winning combinations. Some slot games have stacked wilds, which mean the wilds can stack up on the reels to create even more winning chances with lucky spins generating a whole screen filled with wilds for the top payouts. Check out the stacked wilds in White King slot.

Our slot reviews discuss many of these special features, helping you choose a slot game that suits you in terms of theme, design, gameplay and winning opportunities.
